360 Play to support Hampshire based Sebastian’s Action Trust as 2019 Charity of the Year
Following its search for a local charity to support next year in the Farnborough area, 360 Play family entertainment centre The Meads Shopping Centre, has announced that Sebastian’s Action Trust will be its official charity for 2019.
As a popular destination for families with young children 360 Play continues to be involved in the local community and will be offering support to the charity in various ways throughout the year, with a variety of events and other activities which will be held for the benefit of the organisation.
Sebastian’s Action Trust supports more than 500 families of seriously-ill children from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Surrey and Oxfordshire. In addition to offering respite breaks for families at The Bluebells – a purpose built holiday home in Basingstoke – the charity also provides practical support in the home, in hospital and in the community which is tailored to the individual needs of each family. This support includes supporting a seriously-ill child, their siblings, and wider family, giving financial and welfare advice and offering well-being therapies and counselling. The Trust does not receive a penny of Government funding and so its work is entirely dependent on fundraising.
Jane Gates OBE, CEO Sebastian’s Action Trust, said: “We are delighted that 360 Play has chosen Sebastian’s Action Trust as its charity of the year for 2019. The Trust is, from inception, family led, so it is wonderful to be involved with a business that provides somewhere for families to go and spend quality time together, in a relaxed, fun-filled environment. We are very much looking forward to working with 360 Play in the coming year.”
Also commenting on the announcement, 360 Play’s group sales and marketing manager Michelle Pearson-Elliott said: “Sebastian’s Action Trust does valuable work which benefits families of seriously ill children in Farnborough and the surrounding area and we are delighted to have chosen the organisation as our Charity of the Year for 2019. As a business aimed at families with young children we are very pleased to be supporting the charity as it is particularly appropriate to what we do and the visitors we serve.
“We’ll be supporting Sebastian’s Action Trust in various ways and look forward to working with their team to provide a range of fund raising opportunities throughout the year which will benefit the organisation.”
